Canzone del giorno: The last Unicorn_America

L'ultimo unicorno è il titolo di un romanzo fantasy del 1968 scritto da Peter Soyer Beagle, autore statunitense specializzato nel genere. Il romanzo riscosse molto successo all'epoca e fu tradotto in più di venti lingue diverse. La prima edizione italiana fu pubblicata nel 1977. 

Da questo romanzo è stato tratto in seguito, nel 1982, un film d'animazione nel quale la protagonista, un unicorno femmina (doppiata da Mia Farrow), rimasta sola, intraprende un viaggio alla ricerca di altri esemplari della sua specie. 

Peter S. Beagle ha curato anche la sceneggiatura del cartone, la regia invece è di Jules Bass e Arthur Rankin Jr..

Ma attenzione: la colonna sonora di questo cartone è stata composta e arrangiata da Jimmy Webb ed eseguita dagli America (ricordate A horse with no name?) !!!

P.s. Io intanto ho scoperto che il libro è stato ristampato in Italia nel 2008, vediamo se riesco a trovarlo... e poi dopo il libro... sarà la volta del dvd! 😏
